Body Worlds!

Im sure some blog stalkers are getting sick of reading about Body Worlds, but I must say I am inclined to write about it because it was such a different/thought provoking/ interesting experience! My thoughts previous to going to the exhibit were somewhat mixed. I mean, for sure this is going to be cool to see because these are reconstructed bodies! I have never seen that before ever and just looking at what my insides are made of is really something that I thought would be so cool and interesting. I was a little weirded out though that they would use thes donated human bodies for an exhibit. Anyway, the line was crazy long and the temperature was too warm for my coat that I had brought along with me due to the winter chill, however, as soon as I entered into the room and heard the lub-dub lub-dub of the heart, I was taken over with excitement. I began looking at all the different items on display and the bodies that were so intricately taken apart and put back together in different forms and the thought came to me about how this is an exhibit displaying the Lord's greatest creation, Man. I began looking at all the tiniest parts of our body that we hardly think about in our daily lives and think about what a blessing it is that we have a body that functions and helps us to think and live and feel and move and it just makes me feel awed at it all. I remember when my mom, Jeff and I were looking at the stages of development for a baby, we saw this little embryo transform into the tiniest little person in just a few weeks. I cannot imagine how people think that abortion would be okay if they could see the tiny little fingers and toes of the baby at 8 weeks. It is so beautiful and the baby is so alive. There was so much information in this exhibit, I cant even begin to tell you how much I learned and loved being able to witness this miracle of the human body. Thanks so much Mom for taking me and Jeff. I absolutely loved it and loved sharing the experience with you!

The guy I went to this with in Seattle had the emotional/social capacity of a 13 year old--needless to say he cracked me up the whole time with awful jokes. Reading your post I now wish i had gottn a bit more out of it.
