A perfect finish to a stress filled day!

Yesterday was incredibly stressful for me! I had TWO exams for one class. I was so worried and wanted to do really well so that I could finish off my four-week Planet Earth class. I studied really hard and really put a lot of effort into getting a good grade, which can be very difficult in the summer months! Well, I took the first exam and felt pretty good about it. I think I may have missed a few, but I feel like I did good enough to get an A. The second test ended up being even easier! I was so stressed out for nothing! But, I guess the stress helped me to study so much so that I was ready for BOTH tests that morning.

Last night was one of the most fun nights I have had in really the longest time, I just with I had some pictures to show all the fun things we did! My friend, Courtney, came and picked me up around 5 to go shooting. Kind of a random story how I met him. He and his friends came in to eatat El Sol last weekend, and I was their server. We were talking about the different things you can do in the summer in the Logan and he said that we should get our friends together and hangout. So, I gave him my number. I wasn't really scared to give it to him, even though there have been other times that I have refused to give my number out, he seemed harmless and nice, so it didn't bother me. Anyway, Courtney took me shooting in Wellsville, where he lives, and we had SO much fun. I have never been able to hit a clay pidgeon (if you dont know what a clay pidgeon is, it is just this target that gets thrown into the air and you aim for it and it breaks really easy. here is a picture of what one looks like) but last night I hit 2!! That actually isnt that good at all, but for never even hitting one, I was very proud of myself. Courtney was such a pro though. He got 5 in a row his first round and then he even shot a few with his eyes closed. I think he cheated, but he might just be that good.

After shooting ALL of his bullets we decided to head back to the house. Courtney's mom is the most amazing decorator. She has so many cute wall hangings and she puts them up perfectly with other decorations. It was like being in the Pottery Barn magazine. Their house was perfect. He took me outside in their backyard to see their new baby horse that their horse Chex had about a month ago. Walking out there was quite a challenge for me, I kept dodging all these huge mounds of Horse poop and I was wondering how Courtney didnt step in any of it, cause he wasnt even looking down at all and it was everywhere!! There was SO much poop! Needless to say, he ended up stepping in some. I guess I was better off for paying attention!! Well, the baby horse is absolutely adorable She would snuggle her nose in your side and she just loved to be around us. I've never really been around horses much, but I fell in love with Chex. Her eyes are dark and her eyelashes make her look so exotic. Her hair is perfect and soft, and her tail is so long and dark, it barely grazes the ground. She is beautiful.

After playing with the horses we had to go get the key from the four wheeler cause his dad accidentally left it in, so we went down to their farm and we decided we wanteed to go for a ride. It was absolutely amazing. We went up into the mountains on this trail and it was so green and beautiful. The valley looks so different when you look down from up there. I wish so much that I would have taken my camera because it was unreal. I have always loved Logan, but I feel like I have such a different love for it now. I say that now when it isnt 10 degrees below, but I really could call Logan home, at least for now. It is so welcoming, loving and it survives so much. It deserves to be loved back.

Well, after four-wheeling Courtney took me to eat at the Maddox Drive-In. It was so fun. I feel like I keep saying that! But, really, this place is so great. It reminded me of the old days when waitresses would ride up on rollerblades to your window to take your order. Our waitress had shoes on, but it was still really fun! There arent many places like that anymore. I loved every second of it. After dinner it was still pretty early, so we decided to watch Ice Age. We had been talking about it because I just finished my Planet Earth class and I am so nervous now that the earth will freeze over! That movie is so funny and we both loved watching it.

It was a really long day, but I had such a blast and I cant wait to hangout with Courtney again. I feel like my summer is just beginning!
