Happy Happy Joy Joy!!

I have had such an amazing summer... It is hard to believe I was stuck in a classroom for the whole beginning of it! July has been absolutely wonderful and I have enjoyed every second of it. This last weekend was great. I went mountain biking with my cousin Megan, who is absolutely the most adventurous and active person in our family. She is constantly riding her road bike, mountain bike, going on hikes, running events, out on her boat wakeboarding, skiing, wakesurfing... you name it and I bet she does it. So, she and I went on a little mountain biking excursion up Little Cottonwood and I didnt bring my camera, so we dont have pictures, but it was awesome. I am definitely not in mountain biking shape! But I loved it and I plan on doing a lot more of it when my life slows down a little bit. After our little ride Megan, Mari (my other adorable cousin) and I hung out at Mari's family's new pool. It is so beautiful and seriously the perfect temperature. I wanted to just dive right in, but I couldnt cause I just had the lasik surgery so you cant go swimming for a week.... but Im tellin you, if I could have I would have been in that pool all day! I would just dip in and then lay out in the radiating sun. It was such a nice day and I just loved spending it with my fun cousins!

Saturday night was really great too, we went and saw The Dark Knight! My expectations were really high and I was hoping that I wouldnt be disappointed and I am proud to report that this movie did in fact exceed my expectations. It was amazing and the Joker was absolutely terrifying, but incredible at the same time. I have a new favorite movie, that is for sure!

Monday was an amazing day too! Megan and I hiked up Bell Canyon and it was the perfect day to do it. It was a little overcast and it looked like it had even rained a little bit, but it made the hike that much better because the sun wasnt blazin' on us! Here is a picture of us on our decent... we look pretty sick cause it was early but I just love this lake and wanted a picture of it. It is always so still and calm. It is beautiful. Happy day!

After the hike I was able to go to lunch with a very good friend of mine from high school, Erica. She and I would love to pretend we were cousins (which, I guess we kind of are, way way way distantly) but we just had so much fun together and it was just as fun getting together with her for lunch. I dont get to see her much cause she has been living in DC with her husband while he finishes up law school and I have been in Logan finishing up my schooling, so it is not often when we can get together. We had lots of fun at Paradise Bakery eating our yummy lunches and munchin on their delicious cookies! We probably were there for almost 2 hours!! But it was absolutely wonderful getting caught up and spending some time with her. She is such a beautiful girl and she has a beautiful little boy on the way!! I can't wait to meet this little stud! We forgot to take pictures, but it was such a fun lunch date! Thanks Erica!

Well, Monday night just sealed the deal on a wonderful month of July (even though it isnt even over yet haha). I went to the John Mayer / Colbie Caillat concert with my dear friend Dani. We met up with our friends Lindsay and Alyssa and it was absolutely wonderful to reunite with our very best friends and have such a fun night together listening to some good tunes! My aunt and uncle were also there with my cousins, which made it that much more fun! It was so darling, my cousin Sarah was there with her friend Grace and they both got matching Colbie Caillat shirts. They were so cute dancing and singing all night to the music. Colbie was really good in concert. I was impressed with how great her voice sounded and of course John was amazing as ever. He always impresses me in concert. He is original and funky and I had a really great time chillin and enjoying his tunes. If you've never seen John in concert, I would highly recommend him. He can play the guitar like no one I've ever seen before. It is truly a talent I wish I had! Here are some pictures of the concert and all the fun people that we were there with!

Dani and I before the sun went down! Check out how much more tan she is than I am! haha love it!

Me with the girls! They are so cute in their matching Colbie shirts! Grace is on the left and Sarah is in the middle.

I love these girls. It was so much fun at the concert with you guys! I'm so glad we were able to all be there together showin Colbie and John some lovin!

Me and some of my cousins jammin away at the show. We are true John fans for sure.

Osterloh's bein' Osterloh's! However, Megan turned the other cheek. haha what a punk.

How fun looks like you're having a great summer as well.... although it always goes too fast! I'm excited for the season to start to watch you play though!
That's awesome about you getting lasiks... wow. That's something I've been thinking about doing, but the thought just really scares me. Maybe in a few years.
You are just so cute, I love ya!
