I haven't taken many pictures lately, which is surprising because we have done some really fun things, like hit softballs at the batting cages (we are practicing for softball season, starting April 21!!), played many games (five crowns is now one of my faves), gone to fun dinners (Pepperbelly's, El Sol, Pei Wei... I think we eat out too much!), and what not... so I apologize for the lack of photos and the surplus of words.
Easter Sunday is tomorrow and as I have been preparing my lesson for my primary class I have been thinking about the many blessings that the Savior has given to me and to all of us, really. It is truly a blessing that Jesus came to this earth for the purpose that he did. What an example of perfect love and selflessness. I love the story of the resurrection and how the people found the tomb empty three days later. I always imagine the faith that these people who believed had and how it must have just flooded their hearts as they discovered that Jesus really had been resurrected, after so many people did not believe. When I picture the scene in my head, everything is glowing with the spirit and I feel that spirit in my heart. I love Him for the blessings and opportunities that he has given to all of us, but especially to me and my family. What an incredible strength he must have had and love for us so that he would died that we could live. It is heartwarming to think about the situation and really understand that without the sacrifice Jesus made, we would not be here. What an amazing Brother.
As we all remember Easter tomorrow, I hope that we can remember the Savior and His resurrection as we spend time with our families and friends. I love you all!
Happy Easter!
