Volleyball Continues Improvement During Spring Season
USU will return four starters, plus its libero, and nine letterwinners for the 2008 season.

LOGAN, Utah - According to third-year Utah State head volleyball coach Grayson DuBose, one of his emphasis' this spring was to improve the Aggies' team defense, and the reigning Western Athletic Conference Coach of the Year saw improvement this past weekend as USU defeated rival Brigham Young in three games, 19-25, 25-21, 25-17, in a spring scrimmage at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum Saturday afternoon.
Highlighting Utah State's efforts against BYU were senior outside hitters Kris Hymas (South Jordan, Utah) and Melissa Osterloh (Sandy, Utah) and sophomore libero Christine Morrill (Neola, Utah).
Entering the 2008 season, Utah State will return four starters, plus its libero, and nine letterwinners from last year's team that went 17-13 overall and finished in third-place in the Western Athletic Conference with an 11-5 league record.
Among those returning for Utah State are Osterloh and junior middle blocker Danielle Taylor, who both earned second-team all-WAC honors, while sophomore setter Chelsea Fowles was named the freshman of the year last season.
Utah State will continue its spring schedule at Utah on Saturday, March 29, versus Utah in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum on Saturday, April 5, and at Utah Valley on Saturday, April 12.
